How can we transform your smile?

Have you ever heard the saying ‘their smile lit up the room’? Well, it is not surprising it is such a popular thing to say, because our smile is often the first thing someone else notices about us. Having a white, straight and healthy-looking smile can work wonders on our confidence and self-esteem, and research suggests a bright and healthy smile could even boost your job prospects.

If your smile’s in need of a little love, you’ve come to the right place. Our dental practice in York features state-of-the-art technology, leading treatments and an expert dental team that can help revitalise your smile and even make you feel happier. Here are some of the treatments we offer that do just that.

1. Teeth whitening

While brushing and flossing your teeth twice a day, for two minutes each time is always recommended by professional dentists, other things can play a role in how bright our smile appears. If you smoke, drink things like red wine and coffee, or eat lots of curries or tomato-based sauces, your teeth could dull and yellow over time – even with a good hygiene routine. That is where our teeth whitening treatment comes in, helping restore the lustre and shine of your smile. We could help you go up to 12 shades lighter.

2. Dental implants

These implanted false teeth are super strong – much more so than removable options like dentures and bridges. Dental implants firmly anchor to your gum and jawbone to provide a strong foundation for chewing and biting forces. And because the ‘tooth’ part (crown) is made of porcelain, we can match the colour, shape and size of your remaining teeth. It all makes for a realistic result where others likely won’t be able to guess you even have a false tooth.

3. Invisalign braces

A system that revolutionised the way we straighten teeth, Invisalign aligners are clear acrylic trays designed to shift your smile incrementally. Most people are eligible for treatment, and as well as creating a more uniform smile, they can help with concerns like bite problems, gaps, crowding and associated symptoms (think tooth wear and TMJ). You’ll need to be committed to your treatment, however – Invisalign braces are removable but do need to be in place for up to 22 hours each day to keep your treatment on track.
