    James Harrison

    GDC no.104292

I took over Blossom Dental Care and Implant Studio in 2012 with the view to building on the practice’s already strong reputation for delivering the highest standard of family dentistry. My vision was to create a practice that focuses on providing unparalleled patient care and offers the highest quality dentistry available. Blossom Dental Care is a full-service dental practice where patients are able to come to us for their essential family dental care all the way through to comprehensive cosmetic and implant work.

The qualities of excellent communication and trust form part of our commitment to you and I have carefully chosen a great team of people who are able to provide you with the experience and level of service that modern dentistry demands.

Since graduating from Newcastle University I have undertaken extensive postgraduate education and I am a member of the AACD (American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry) and the BACD (British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry) two organisations dedicated to the art and science of cosmetic dentistry. I am also a member of the ADI (Association of Dental Implantology), which is the largest organisation in the UK dedicated to improving the standards of implant dentistry.

    BDS Kings College London 2013
    GDC no.244022

After graduating from King’s College London I completed my foundation training in a popular mixed practice near York providing high quality family dentistry. Following my foundation year I worked as a community dental officer in County Durham developing my skills looking after very nervous adults and children; helping them feel at ease at all times through their treatment.

During this time I was awarded the postgraduate dental diploma, the MJDF, from the Royal College of Surgeons England reflecting the developments I had made professionally. This, in combination with the completion of my year as a Senior House Officer in Oral Surgery will allow me to provide high quality NHS and private dental care. I am excited to be returning to general practice where my passion in dentistry lies.

I am recently married and have bought a house and settled in Ripon. In my spare time I enjoy going on walks with our dog and visiting my many nieces and nephews. I am a keen sports fan particularly enjoying football and rugby.

I qualified as a Dental Hygienist & Therapist from the University of Birmingham in 2016. I am empathetic and enjoy treating a wide range of patients including children and the ongoing maintenance of periodontal disease and implants. Oral hygiene and education is important for all and developing good habits early in life means that they are more likely to be maintained. I make sure that individually tailored treatment plans and options are fully explained which can help put you at ease. I enjoy seeing all of my patients on a regular basis and I have an ever growing passion for dentistry. I work hard and utilise my full scope of practice as a Hygienist Therapist and enjoy learning new skills and keeping up to date with the current evidence based dentistry. In my spare time I enjoy cooking and baking.
